IBC Solutions is committed to developing the online industry, not just our clients or our own business. We've been helping to build this industry since 1994-1995 when IBC began. Today, it's easy to see that the increasing use of online technologies for business is a trend, and not a passing fad, but in those early days the use of the Internet was not taken for granted as it is now.
Since 1995, we have conducted educational business seminars and workshops to help business people discover, understand and successfully utilise the Internet for business. These events have been held throughout Australia and in New Zealand and the USA. IBC team members have been guest speakers at conferences in different parts of the world including Hawaii, Bali, Mauritius and Vancouver.
IBC is an active member of
auDA (
the Australian Domain Administration Authority),
WAIA (
the Western Australian Internet Association) and
AWIA (
the Australian Web Industry Association).
We’re very supportive of efforts to improve security and privacy in both the online and off-line world. The Australian Federal government's Privacy Act took effect on 21 December 2001, and it was on that same day that IBC became the first Internet services company in Australia to voluntarily opt-in for compliance to this new privacy legislation.
IBC's Managing Director Richard Keeves is the President of the Western Australian Internet Association (WAIA), a position he has held since 2004. He has served on the WAIA Executive Committee since 2001. He was also part of the WAIA sub-committee that developed the WA Spam Code of Conduct in 2002, and has assisted the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) and the Internet Industry Association (IIA) in the development of the national ISP SPAM Code of Practice to aid the implementation of the national Spam legislation which came into force in 2004.
We'll continue to help our industry to grow and develop, and if you have any ideas or suggestions please let us know.
