Verdi allows multiple websites, intranets and extranets each with their own look and feel to be fully self-managed from the single easy to use browser-based administration console.
Initially developed in conjunction with the Western Australian government and known as PortalMaster, IBC Software has continued to enhance and commercialise the Verdi system for local and global markets. Over $2M of IBC resources has been invested in this ongoing development since 2001.

Verdi empowers users with fast content editing using Verdi's one-click Edit Pencil. Verdi supports a wide variety of content types including richly formatted HTML, images and Flash, documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, etc.), streaming media sources and database applications. Verdi is Open Document Management Architecture (ODMA) compliant so it can be integrated to display content from a variety of Document Management systems. Third party applications can easily integrate within the Verdi framework, and the Verdi API is provided.
The Verdi system comes with over twenty core modules included in the once-off perpetual license fee. These include an Events Calendar, Document Library, Employment, Email Campaign management, News, News teasers, Survey polls, FAQs, Restricted access Extranet, Navigation shortcuts and breadcrumbs, Search facilities, Contact lists, Site Map, New since Last log in, and a user-definable RSS feed Display module.
Designed for both Government and Corporate sectors, Verdi can ensure adherence to web standards and best practice including version control with rollback, records management, W3C usability, accessibility and a choice of Dublin Core, AGLS or other metadata standards. Content scheduling is a standard feature as are LDAP & Active Directory integration capabilities.
Verdi is built using ASP/ASP.Net, COM, XML and AJAX technologies, and is designed to operate in a Microsoft hosting environment. The system is highly scalable and may operate on single servers or in a multiple load-balanced clustered server environment.
The latest version (V3.1) has an improved standard Workflow and integrates with the updated Advanced Workflow, and is compatible with newer browsers on Mac and PC, as well as with Microsoft.net frameworks 2, 3 and 3.5. With V3.1 come many speed improvements, an updated WYSIWYG Editor, improved user interface, as well as new and improved modules such as the Weather Module.
Enhancements in the previous version (V2.7) includedthe easy inclusion and display of Flash video within any page on a site. V2.7 came with the all new AJAX-based navigational tree structure for rapid loading of complex navigation elements. V2.7 also included an enterprise-wide user-definable RSS Feed Display module which is now provided as a core module of Verdi.
